Project Overview

This is a bulk official export project delivered in 2025, undertaken by Huayuan Crane, a leading domestic heavy-duty crane manufacturer. The bridge crane is specially customized for the new electric arc furnace steel plant project in central Saudi Arabia, which belongs to the supporting industrial infrastructure project of Saudi Vision 2030. The batch of metallurgical overhead cranes is used for high-frequency hoisting and transferring of steel billets, molten steel ladles and heavy structural parts in the steelmaking workshop, providing core lifting equipment guarantee for the stable operation of the new steel plant.


All cranes are designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international metallurgical heavy-duty working standards and Saudi local industrial specifications, adapting to harsh high-temperature and continuous heavy-load working conditions.

Customized Optimization for Saudi Arabia Harsh Working Conditions

Combined with the high-temperature desert climate of Saudi Arabia and the high-intensity continuous operation characteristics of metallurgical workshops, the equipment has been upgraded in a targeted manner compared with standard industrial cranes to adapt to extreme working environments:


1. High Temperature Resistant Metallurgical Coating System

The whole machine adopts high-grade high-temperature resistant epoxy finish paint. It can resist dual high-temperature erosion from indoor workshop radiation heat and outdoor strong sunlight exposure. The coating features anti-aging, anti-corrosion and anti-fading performance, which effectively avoids paint peeling and structural rust caused by long-term high-temperature operation and ensures the long-term beautiful and intact appearance of the equipment.


2. Three-Proof Electrical System Adaptation

The electrical system has completed professional upgrades of high temperature resistance, sand and dust prevention, and condensation prevention. All electrical components are selected with international brand high-temperature resistant models. Meanwhile, the whole machine is reserved with Saudi local 415V/60Hz power grid adaptive transformation interface, which perfectly matches the local power supply standards and eliminates hidden dangers such as unstable operation and component burnout caused by power supply mismatch.


3. Full Standard Qualification Compliance

The products are supported by complete ISO quality system certification and EU CE certification. All technical documents and test reports meet the requirements of Saudi SABER customs clearance certification and local industrial safety access audit, realizing one-stop barrier-free customs clearance and on-site equipment filing.


4. Reinforced Structural Design for Heavy Duty

The main beam and end beam adopt thickened steel plate welding structure, with overall strength and stiffness upgraded. All key welding parts pass professional flaw detection and non-destructive testing. The whole machine is designed according to A7 heavy-level working system, which can stably cope with 24-hour uninterrupted high-frequency hoisting operation of the steel plant, with strong fatigue resistance and long service life.


Project Delivery Process

In the early stage of the project, the two parties confirmed the equipment parameters, working condition adaptation scheme and safety standards through multiple technical docking meetings. During the production period, the whole process of production supervision and quality inspection was implemented to ensure that all indexes meet metallurgical heavy-duty standards. After the factory test and overload debugging are completed, the equipment is packed with moisture-proof, dust-proof and shock-proof measures suitable for long-distance sea transportation. Finally, it is shipped to Saudi Arabia by sea with complete certification documents to ensure smooth customs clearance and on-site delivery.
